Sevil Conka was born in 1968. After finishing TED Ankara High School, she studied English Linguistics at Hacettepe University. After graduating, she earned a masters degree in archeology and history of art at Bilkent University. She is now in the research process of her Phd dissertation on art history at Istanbul Technical University. She started working as a licenced tour guide in 1991. Her hobbies are researching on history of art, travelling and yoga. Her specialties are archeologic, religious and cultural tours. ‘‘Being a guide gives you the opportunity to meet different people, discover many things and share them with others. It also lets you feed your spirit of travelling’’ she says.
She has been working for Road Scholar since 2007 and loves being a group leader for Road Scholar because she loves to see the participants’ lust for learning.
