Hi – we are just back from our week in Greece after the week in Turkey – I wanted to thank you and your agency for a wonderful experience in Turkey .  All drivers and guides were excellent – we saw so much and were so glad to have experienced guides with us.  All of our flight arrangements went as scheduled, and the hotels were good choices – I was very apprehensive about the drive to Sirince but the place was unique and we managed to get back and forth to Ephesus.  Thanks so much for your help.

Had a great day with Denizhan in Kusadasi yesterday.   He was so knowledgeable of the history, cultures, and all about the ruins.  It was a real treat to have him explain so much that I would not have been aware.  We also went to a farm where they grow mulberry trees as food for silk worms and then reclaim the silk and dye it and weave the threads to silk rugs.  Very interesting to me being close to agriculture at home.

Hi Kazim,  I am so fortunate Arda could be my guide in Istanbul. I could not have had a more wonderful and meaningful experience in this most magical of cities. Arda is the best of the best. His knowledge, sensitivity and warmth brought Istanbul alive for me. Arda took me to so many interesting spots, and had such extensive knowledge. I will never forget this. Thank you so much for making these arrangements. It was absolutely perfect!

Dear Kazim, I wanted to write a note to thank you for working with Thom to arrange for us to spend three days seeing the sights of Istanbul with Sami last week.  We had a wonderful time and felt as if we learned a great deal about Turkey today as well as all the amazing artistic and cultural heritage sites.  Sami was very responsive to our interests as well as ensuring that we saw the key monuments.  I can’t imagine a better guide and he played a huge part in making this one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. Hi Kazim,  We came back from your beautiful country a few days ago, and wanted to thank you for your organization and for Sami’s services, he was great and made our tour of Istanbul historical city memorable. Also, my wife had a very exciting experience at Sevan Bicakci’s studio. We were very impressed with Turkey in general and its people always eager to help. Good Morning, I wanted to give my highest recommendations for your very professional staff. My recent tour of Turkey with Road Scholar gave me an excellent view of your Country. I came away with an awe of the history and the religion and the culture. I felt well cared for and will remember this fantastic trip for a long time.  The food was always fresh and healthy, every excursion was well planned out.  Our tour Leader Yasemin Akhun was amazing. I have the highest respect for her knowledge, energy, and ability to lead. Our bus driver Gem was also a wonderful addition to the tour. He was always cautions and patient, He made us all feel at ease while riding through the country and cities. Respectfully

Hi Kazim, I have been meaning to write but with jet lag and being too busy I just have not done it…..sorry. Our trip was fabulous! My sister was amazed by the beauty of rural Turkey and the hiking was great fun. If only you could have ordered better weather!  Thank you once again for arranging a special trip tailored to our need to hike and see the countryside. Hello KAZIM, This is a voice from the past but I hope that it gives you some pause and pleasure that all the arrangements you made remain vividly in our hearts and minds. I have just been to the RC Board meetings here in the US which are always a restoring experience and always carry me back to my years in Turkey. Our family Maxwell/Sesler trip in 2002 are still highlights. I still recall how special your arrangements were, particularly our nights in the Kalepansiyon.

Good morning, Kazim.  I certainly echo Barbara’s reply – and add my  appreciation of your work to put such a great trip together – and on such short notice.  What I’ve seen and learned thus far about Turkey and the wonderful people we met certainly makes me want to return – and as Barbara said, to see and explore other parts of the country as well as to re-visit some places we loved.  Istanbul is a fascinating city – the conference was a real opportunity to meet and learn from so many who are from your region – and the locations of both hotels we’ll-suited to each of us. Dear Kazim,  Our trip was fabulous! Both guides and our driver were great- thoughtful, knowledgeable, playful and responsive to our needs.  The hotels you chose were so beautiful and gracious.  In retrospect, we would probably not have spent as much time driving and moving daily along the Mediterranean but rather spending more time in one place but this trip was an first foray into a country with a complex culture and diverse geography so it helped us gain a beginning perspective.  Istanbul was incredible and our conference which focused on the transmission of trauma across generations gave us a socio- political background as well. Another trip to the Black Sea and Eastern part of the country is definitely on our wish lists.  Thank you for your guidance and thoughtful planning on such short notice. Dear Kazim and Ali:  We are leaving Cape Cod, Massachusetts today to begin our westward trip to California and home. Our three weeks in Turkey will stay with us always.  To you, Kazim, our huge thanks for arranging our extended Istanbul days, and to you, Ali, for your cordial and excellent guiding and friendship toward Happy, Susie, and me for those final days…..and of course to Yasemin for her wonderful leadership of our official Road Scholar trip.
